"It is unfortunate that we accidentally published an AI-generated clip. The audience should always be able to trust that images in Agenda are authentic," Agenda's editor-in-chief Michael Kucera told SVT.
The clip showed what appeared to be a New York police officer berating an ICE employee. The clip was broadcast in a segment that addressed the controversy in the US over the deportation of undocumented immigrants. The clip appeared in both Agenda's intro and in the longer segment.
We are now reviewing our procedures to ensure that similar errors do not occur in the future, says Kucera.
The broadcast has been removed from SVT Play. The AI video will be cut, and a new version of the program will be published with a correction in the text.
