Ståle Solbakken's Norway is facing an important World Cup qualifying match against Italy - but chose to start the press conference in Milan by talking about Åge Hareide's situation.
"I want to send a greeting to Åge Hareide. He should actually have been sitting here with you today. He is fighting a hard battle," says Solbakken.
He is here today, in Milan, and will watch the match. Maybe we will see him in the locker room before the match, we have talked about that anyway. I wish Åge all the luck and success in the fight he is in now.
Åge Hareide, 72, has coached Swedish clubs Helsingborg, Örgryte and Malmö FF, among others. He led Helsingborg to the Swedish Championship in 1999 and the Swedish Super League in 2014.
