Ulf Kristersson's statement comes after President Donald Trump's indirect threat that NATO's future could be "very bad" if countries do not help.
"It is not appropriate to do anything at this point," Kristersson says.
Kristersson says that Sweden's ability to influence the region is small and that resources are now primarily directed towards Ukraine. He also downplays Trump's statement.
"You should keep a cool head. There is a lot of talk now, but it is not relevant for Sweden to participate."
