The Swedish mixed team came into the fourth regular-season match completely off. The USA took two points in the first end and then stole a point in three straight ends when Sweden had the advantage of the last stone.
Only in the fifth end did Blågult reduce the score to 1–5, but by then the Americans already had a firm grip on the victory.
In the end, the USA won 7–1 after Sweden conceded before the eighth and final end. The second match of the day was against Great Britain. There, Sweden won 6–5 in the final end.
