After beating Hammarby over two games, Häcken secured the very first title in the new European Cup tournament.
From the beginning, the victory meant a ticket to the third and final qualifying round for next season's Champions League.
But the conditions changed quickly. The clubs that can still win this year's CL final on May 23 – Lyon, Barcelona and Bayern Munich – and thus secure a direct place have already secured their places via domestic league results.
This moves Häcken up one level in the qualification hierarchy.
A total of 18 teams will participate in the 2026/27 Champions League season. For Swedish clubs, qualifying games await later this summer for both Hammarby and Malmö FF.
