Thirteen candidates have become eight. Last year's winner Truls Möregårdh, ski queen Jonna Sundling and the successful team Mjällby are some who are still in the fight for the Jerring Prize.

Frida Karlsson, Maja Stark, Isabelle Haak, Elvira Öberg and Viktor Gyökeres are the quintet that were eliminated after the first round of voting for Radiosportens Jerringpris was completed.

The remaining candidates will bring their votes to the continuation of the voting, which will continue until the winner of the 47th Jerring Prize is announced at the Sports Gala on January 21.

The eight candidates:

Andreas Almgren, athletics.

Ebba Andersson, cross-country skiing.

Armand Duplantis, athletics.

Mjällby, football.

Truls Möregårdh, table tennis.

Jenny Rissveds, mountain bike.

Daniel Ståhl, athletics.

Jonna Sundling, cross-country skiing.

The eliminated candidates:

2015: Sarah Sjöström, swimming.

2016: Peder Fredricson, equestrian.

2017: Peder Fredricson, equestrian.

2018: Hanna Öberg, biathlon.

2019: Tove Alexandersson, orienteering.

2020: Armand Duplantis, athletics.

2021: National Show Jumping Team (Henrik von Eckermann, Malin Baryard Johnsson and Peder Fredricson), equestrian.

2022: Nils van der Poel, speed skating.

2023: Ebba Andersson, cross-country skiing.

2024: Truls Möregårdh, table tennis.
