"Either certain medicines have not been available on the market or they have arrived in small batches. Based on the information that the government has received, the lack of availability will continue," the Government Offices said in a press release.
The Swedish Medicines Agency has been commissioned by the government to analyze the possibility of a national actor producing estrogen medicines, review whether the medicines can be replaced with equivalent preparations in pharmacies, and investigate whether there are central functions in the EU that can secure access.
