Saturday's race came a week and a half after the 27-year-old was eliminated in the Olympic quarterfinals in the sprint in Val di Fiemme. Now the tears were exchanged for a big smile.
However, Hagström will not start the 90 km Vasaloppet next Sunday. World Cup competitions will be held in Falun in Dalarna at the same time.
"I'll choose the World Cup then," she said.
