Alex Norén will end his successful year as Sweden's highest-ranked golfer. This is clear after the 43-year-old's latest success, second place in the Tiger Woods Invitational in the Bahamas.
Norén, who started the year ranked 54th in the world, climbs from 17th to twelfth place. Not since the summer of 2018 has he been ranked this high.
Ludvig Åberg, ranked fifth at the beginning of the year, also loses two places in the world rankings, where he now finds himself in 18th place.
Alex Norén, who won two events on European soil earlier this year, played a big game in the final round in the Bahamas. He forced a playoff after sinking a six-meter putt on the 18th hole, the Swede's ninth birdie of the day. But Hideki Matsuyama of Japan then decided the game with a birdie when the duo played the same hole again in the playoff.
