HV forward Oskar Stål Lyrenäs is expected to leave the hospital after the nasty injury in the match against Skellefteå on Thursday evening.

HV71's doctor Jonas Kalman tells the club's website:

"Oskar is doing well under the circumstances. He had to spend the night in hospital for examinations and observation, but I expect he will be able to come home during the day."

Oskar Stål Lyrenäs crashed into the sideline in the victory game against Skellefteå, 4–3, in the SHL and was carried out on a stretcher after several minutes of interruption to the game.

It became completely silent in HV's home arena when Stål Lyrenäs was left lying still on the ice after the accident.

During the match, positive reports came from HV71 that the 27-year-old was "awake and talkative."
