"Tired in the head, tired in the body," Walter Wallberg said after missing out on a medal in the moguls final. "It's like you've been run over by a bus, both emotionally and physically," he said.

The Beijing 2022 Olympic gold medalist finished off the podium in Italy. The result stung and ended in tears.

It was pride and disappointment... Everything came at the same time; it was a lot, he says.

The journey to the Olympics was tough. The 25-year-old missed last season due to injuries and had to have shoulder surgery. His body has struggled more than ever.

"There are things we haven't told you. To take fourth place, it's basically inhumane. A normal person would have thrown in the towel pretty quickly," he says, without wanting to reveal more about his injuries.

Wallberg's next chance for a medal awaits on Sunday, when the parallel is decided.

I'm excited. I just need to get my body in order, because there are a few question marks.
