Martin Falk signed a three-year contract with IFK Norrköping ahead of the season. But after the blow that elimination from the Allsvenskan means – “Peking” lost the qualifiers against Örgryte – the parties are already going their separate ways.
Falk has been sold to an as-yet-unnamed club, IFK Norrköping writes on its website .
"I would like to thank everyone who has supported us despite an incredibly tough year. I wish so much that we could have delivered better results. I am eternally grateful for your unconditional support," says Martin Falk in a statement.
The 30-year-old has previously been an assistant coach at AIK and Malmö FF.
Last week, TV4's Football Channel stated that Falk is close to a move to Norwegian Molde.
Martin Falk's replacement has already been announced. Eldar Abdulic, most recently in the Superettan and Sandvikens IF, will take over the coaching role at IFK Norrköping. He has signed a contract until 2028.
