Among the most traded stocks on the OMXS30 index, most are posting broad gains. Mining group Boliden is up 2.8 percent while heat pump manufacturer Nibe is up 3.9 percent.

Online casino company Evolution is down 0.7 percent.

The Stockholm Stock Exchange's broad OMXS index lost 3.3 percent on Thursday as a result of concerns about oil prices.

The price of oil rose sharply on Thursday but has since fallen back. On Friday morning, a barrel of Brent crude oil costs just over $107.

The New York Stock Exchange also fell yesterday, although the fall was not as large as in Europe. Developments on the Asian stock exchanges have been mixed.
