The blue and yellow beat Tunisia early Monday morning, local time in Sweden, winning by a whopping 5–1. After the match, several media outlets reported that Tunisia's national team coach Sabri Lamouchi would be fired.

Tunisia's federation has now confirmed the reports and announced that French coach Hervé Renard will take over. The 57-year-old Renard has extensive experience. He was in charge of Saudi Arabia during the 2022 World Cup, where they beat Argentina. He has also been in charge of the French women's national team.

Tunisia will meet Japan on Sunday at 06:00 local time in Sweden, and the Netherlands on Friday 26 June at 01:00 local time in Sweden, in the World Cup group.
