Tuchel took over the England national team in January last year and led them to concede no goals in qualifying for this summer's World Cup in Canada, the United States and Mexico.
"I am very happy and proud to continue with England. It is no secret that I have loved every minute so far of working with my players and managers, and I can hardly wait to lead them to the World Cup," Tuchel told the national team's website.
The 52-year-old has previously led Chelsea to the Champions League title and won league titles with Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich.
