"Viewers have experienced the shift from SVT1 to SVT Play negatively, and we have taken that feedback into account. Starting with the next round, the entire Melodifestivalen will also be available to watch on SVT1," says project manager Anders Wistbacka in a statement.
At the beginning of the week, SVT announced plans to move the final minutes of the broadcast - the part where viewers find out which entry advances to the final - to SVT Play. That caused widespread anger during Saturday's semi-final, and SVT therefore chose to broadcast the entire program on linear TV as well.
