The Government Offices did not produce documents quickly enough when Dagens Nyheter investigated former national security advisor Henrik Landerholm. The Ombudsman, who is now criticizing the authority, is convinced of this, according to DN.

The newspaper requested, among other things, e-mails and direct messages on Landerholm's service phone in connection with the review.

But getting the documents out took a while - so much so that the Ombudsman is now criticizing the Government Offices for not having acted promptly according to the Freedom of the Press Ordinance.

The most important conclusion I draw is that the Government Offices must be prepared to handle requests for public documents in accordance with the Freedom of the Press Ordinance, even when it is a period of high intensity from the media, says Ombudsman Per Lennerbrant to DN.
