After more than a year of silence due to mental illness, Belgian superstar Stromae is releasing new music again. A duet with French singer Pomme will be released on Saturday morning as part of the soundtrack to the animated TV series Arcane.
The now 39-year-old Stromae, whose real name is Paul Van Haver, became a world star over 15 years ago with hit songs like "Alors on danse" and "Formidable".
In parallel, he has struggled with mental illness, which has kept him away from the public eye on several occasions. After a comeback in 2022 with the album "Multitude", with songs that openly address depression and suicidal thoughts, he was forced to cancel a major European tour last year due to health problems.
Stromae's new song is called "Ma Meilleure Ennemie" - my best enemy - and comes after he received a medal from King Philippe of Belgium this week for his cultural contributions to the country.
