The 34-year-old was hospitalized for five days after fainting during a routine medical examination in November last year. Oscar has not played since, and heart problems are now forcing him to retire.
Oscar has previously represented, among others, Chelsea, where he won the Premier League twice and the Europa League once, before leaving for the Chinese Super League in 2017. He also made 48 senior appearances for Brazil.
