Robin Olsen is not in Graham Potter's first national team squad. But the new national team captain is keeping the door open for the goalkeeper.

I had a good dialogue with Robin. He's a good guy. But the conversation with him stays between us. No door is closed. We'll see what can happen in March, says Graham Potter at the squad presentation.

The 35-year-old Malmö FF goalkeeper Robin Olsen was the national team's first choice goalkeeper for many years. But after a mistake in the World Cup qualifier against Slovenia in September, Jon Dahl Tomasson Olsen announced that he was no longer the number one.

Then Olsen chose to quit the national team.

"I will not play in the national team as long as Jon Dahl Tomasson is the national team captain," said the goalkeeper.

Now Tomasson himself has been replaced by Graham Potter. Potter is keeping Viktor Johansson as first-choice goalkeeper and has also called up Kristoffer Nordfeldt, Noel Törnqvist and Jacob Widell Zetterström for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Switzerland and Slovenia.

In March next year, the playoffs for the World Cup will be played, which Sweden will likely qualify for.
