Previously, the European supporters' association FSE reported that it would cost at least $6,900 (around SEK 64,000) for anyone who wants to follow their country from the first match to a possible final during the World Cup next year.
The high prices have been heavily criticized, and the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) appears to have listened.
A new ticket group is now being introduced where all tickets will cost $60 (around SEK 550). This applies to all matches in the group stage as well as in the knockout matches, and also to the World Cup final.
However, the tickets will be earmarked for the most loyal supporters of the participating nations. How this distribution is made is up to each national association.
