After several Melodifestival participants criticized Kaj's win, a number of Swedish celebrities are now stepping forward and defending the Finnish sauna brothers.

Among the disappointed artists who have questioned Kaj's win are, among others, Måns Zelmerlöw, Erik Segerstedt, and John Lundvik. They believe that the competition has changed and that "crazy" songs have taken over the more serious contributions.

But Kaj is defended by several Swedish artists, led by veteran Nanne Grönvall. She vented her frustration on Sunday from her Instagram account, something Aftonbladet was the first to report.

"Above all, there is one thing that upsets a large part of the music industry. Humor. It is not considered equally fine and prestigious", she writes.

Grönvall continues: "One praises the humor of the brilliant hosts, but woe and dismay if there is also happy music with humorous elements in the competition entries".

Her post is applauded by a number of former Melodifestival artists in the comments field. Among them are Charlotte Perelli, Andreas Lundstedt, Richard Herrey, Markoolio, Richard Söderberg, and Babsan, who writes: "I completely agree with you. Nice that not everything is so serious and pretentious".

Songwriter Linnea Deb writes: "I agree 100 percent. They are damn good and I love the song."
