The midfielder is being loaned to the Greek club Kifisia FC, "Blåvitt" writes on its website.
"Imam is in need of playing time and we hope he gets it during the loan period," says Gothenburg sporting director Jesper Jansson.
The loan is valid for one year.
A week ago, Imam Jagne was involved in an altercation with IFK's goalkeeping coach Lee Baxter at a training session.
"Show me the respect I deserve, I've worked here for a long time. Don't come here and think you're something," Baxter was heard shouting at Jagne in a video published by TV4 Football Channel.
