The terrorist group IS takes responsibility for a bomb attack that killed Afghanistan's refugee minister Khalil ur-Rahman Haqqani at his office in Kabul, according to the intelligence group Site, which monitors extremism on the internet.
Unfortunately, an explosion has occurred at the refugee department and Minister Khalil ur-Rahman Haqqani has been killed along with some of his colleagues, a government source stated earlier on Wednesday.
Khalil ur-Rahman Haqqani is the most well-known death in a bomb attack in Afghanistan since the Taliban took back power three years ago.
The government's spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid writes on X that Haqqani's death is a great loss, and describes him as a tireless holy warrior who dedicated his life to defending Islam.
