The attacks reportedly targeted buildings in the provinces of Kunar, Khost, and Paktia, which border Pakistan. Among the dead were several children, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid wrote on X.
Pakistan has on several occasions carried out airstrikes against targets in Afghanistan as a result of the conflict between the countries. The Pakistani government has accused the Taliban regime of supporting and harboring Pakistani resistance groups.
