Los Angeles has 2–0 in matches in the quarterfinals since Kempe also made two goal passes.

But the Swede was not alone in scoring four points against Edmonton. Team captain Anze Kopitar contributed with a goal and three assists.

Kempe's distribution came in the third period. After a goal and two assists in the first meeting – where Los Angeles won narrowly with 6–5 – Kempe is now up to three goals and four goal passes in the playoffs.

Viktor Arvidsson scored for Edmonton. John Klingberg made a comeback for the club at the same time. It was his first match since March 27 due to a lower-body injury.

He assisted on one of the team's two goals.

The next two matches will be played in Edmonton.

Washington made it 3–1 against Montreal and leads the quarterfinals with 2–0 in matches.
