Adrian Kempe decided for his Los Angeles in overtime against St Louis with a projectile. The one he outsmarted was also Canada's intended Olympic Games goalkeeper Jordan Binnington. A very beautiful goal, a fantastic finish, said Los Angeles coach Jim Hiller to nhl.com after the 2–1 win.

Los Angeles broke a four-match losing streak and the Swedish star has started the Olympic Games season promisingly. In the last five matches, he has made eight points, three goals and five assists.

In total, he stands at nine points.

The winning goal, a very hard direct shot, came in a numerical advantage.

Really nice of course. I think I played well and it's always fun to decide, says 29-year-old Kempe to Aftonbladet.

Jordan Binnington played in all four matches when Canada won the Four Nations in February.

Leo Carlsson made one of the goals, his third for the season, when Anaheim defeated Nashville away with 5–2. The 20-year-old national team center has also started the season strongly with three goals and seven points in six matches.

Filip Forsberg made one of the goals for Nashville.
