Kempe missed the Kings' last game through injury, but on Thursday night he was back with a bang. With three goals and an assist, he played a major part in Los Angeles' convincing 7–2 win over San Jose.
More Swedes contributed to the victory. Elias Pettersson recorded an assist on Kempe's second goal, and Erik Gustafsson was on the ice for Los Angeles' seventh and final goal, scored by Quinton Byfield.
