The man who was found shot in the forest near Färingtofta in Klippan municipality in October and later died was hit by a stray bullet, according to the police, who have now closed the investigation.

The accident occurred while feeding wild boars. A shot from the man's own hunting rifle discharged and struck him in the shoulder, reports HD.

Initially, it was unclear whether the man had been hit by a stray bullet from another hunter's weapon, as hunting was underway in the area.
