In August, the independent school company released its annual report with a proposed dividend of 2.25 kronor per share, or approximately 225 million kronor in total.
Now, the board proposes that the owners should receive significantly more, through a so-called redemption program which means that the owners can share an additional 400 million kronor, as noted by, among others, Privata Affärer.
Academedia has too much money in the bank, simply put.
"The board considers that the company's capital structure is not optimal and therefore proposes a redemption program of a total maximum of 400 million kronor", the company writes in a press release.
Academedia did the same thing last year when the owners received 281 million kronor, in addition to the regular dividend of 1.75 kronor per share or approximately a total of 175 million kronor.
During the past financial year, July 2024-June 2025, the profit in the group after tax was 321 million kronor.
