The owner of Absolut vodka, French Pernod Ricard, warns of continued challenges ahead of the coming fiscal year. The company, which has been in the line of fire for the customs war both from the US and in connection with the conflict between the EU and China, reports a decreased turnover of 5.5 percent for the full year 2024/2025.
The background is, among other things, the punitive tariffs that China introduced on European cognac and which, according to the company, are now estimated to mean a sharp decline in sales during the first quarter regarding the Chinese market.
