Another 30 Palestinians have been injured, according to the Gaza Civil Defense.
The military said the attacks were in response to an attack on Israeli soldiers carrying out "routine operational work" in northern Gaza, according to Haaretz. An Israeli officer was said to have been seriously injured in the attack.
However, the deadly Israeli attacks were directed at both the northern and southern Gaza Strip.
