Just a few weeks ago, the 25-year-old stood with a trophy in his hands after winning the Genesis Invitational. Saturday's third round in Orlando offered a stark contrast in comparison.

Åberg started steadily with two birdies and several par shots, but on the seventh hole, problems began with a bogey. On the eighth, he was credited with a triple bogey after hitting into the water – which he also did on the final hole.

I started okay, but made a few mistakes. It's too poor approach shots and too poor shots around the greens. It didn't go so bloody well today, he says in Max's broadcast, reports Aftonbladet.

Ludvig Åberg went around in five strokes over par, and has a total of four strokes over par after three rounds. This means he has dropped 29 places on the leaderboard to a tied 41st place.

American Collin Morikawa leads with a total of ten under par.
