Ludvig Åberg had a nightmare start to the PGA tour event AT&T Pebble Beach, and after the first day he was last in the entire starting field.
After a day's play, the Swede was five over par.
Now the Swede chooses to withdraw due to illness. This confirms the PGA tour on X.
This after Åberg suffered from gastrointestinal flu during last week's tournaments, but chose to continue playing.
Already after the first day, Åberg told that the health problems had not quite gone away, and that it had left its mark.
It was tough, I'm feeling okay, really. It's been a couple of tough days since I got sick last week at Torrey Pines. But I think I'm still fighting okay, said Åberg to Max.
I'm swinging pretty badly, and I've lost a bit of weight. I'm swinging a bit strange and feel generally weak.
Russell Henley leads the tournament on eight under par.
