Åberg was noted for six birdies and one eagle, but also two bogeys.

"Not ideal, but you know that bogeys can happen at Bay Hill when it's tough," he said, according to the AP.

In total, he is six strokes under par.

Ludvig Åberg shares second place with American Collin Morikawa, and the duo is three strokes behind leader Daniel Berger, USA, who shot a full nine under par, 63 strokes.

Alex Norén finished the first round on par, 72 strokes.

The top prize is four million dollars, equivalent to approximately 37 million kronor, according to Golf Digest.
