Ludvig Åberg is showing signs of improvement after a weak start to the season on the PGA Tour. He was one of the very best players over the weekend when Collin Morikawa won the major at Pebble Beach.

Åberg practically threw away his chances of a close finish in the first round, shooting three over par on Thursday.

Since then, things have gone much better. The final two rounds - 66 and 67 strokes, respectively - meant that Åberg was the fourth-best golfer of the weekend at Pebble Beach, although it was not enough to finish higher than 37th place overall.

Åberg finished at -11, two strokes behind Alex Norén (29th) and eleven behind the winning American Collin Morikawa.

This week, The Genesis Invitational awaits, where the 26-year-old Swede is the defending champion. The competition is back at The Riviera Country Club this year, after being moved to Torrey Pines last year due to the severe fires in Pacific Palisades.
