Norlander's third competition day in The RSM Classic on the USA tour in Georgia was flawless.
The Swede had not a single bogey in the protocol, but lined up birdies and is a total of –8, in a shared 12th place, ahead of the final round.
For Ludvig Åberg, Saturday was not as successful as Friday, when he made a real super round and went eight under par.
Instead, he went around +1 for the day, which means he stands at –4 total ahead of Sunday's decisive round, in a shared 42nd place.
Americans Vincent Whaley and Maverick McNealy share the lead at –14.
This is Åberg's comeback after his knee operation at the beginning of September. The plan was to play the two final tournaments on the DP World Tour, previously the European Tour, in the United Arab Emirates earlier in November, but he chose to postpone his comeback until this week's PGA tournament.
It was right here, in The RSM Classic at Sea Island Golf Club in Georgia, that Åberg took his debut victory on the PGA tour last year.
For Norlander, the tournament is the last chance to stay top 125 on the tour's ranking and get full playing rights on the USA tour next season. For the time being, he is 126th on the Fedex cup ranking.
