ABB buys into British AI developer

Automation group ABB is taking a minority stake in British AI developer Octai Pipe, according to a press release from ABB.

The companies will partner to invest in control systems for data center cooling with AI tools, which can provide energy savings of up to 30 percent and rapid returns, writes ABB.

The investment in Octai Pipe is made through the subsidiary ABB Motion Venture.

What ABB is paying for its share in Octai Pipe is not stated in the press release.
