In "Nosferatu" played Taylor-Johnson Friedrich Harding, a wealthy shipbuilder who does not listen to warnings that the German city has fallen under the curse of the vampire Count Orlok (Bill Skarsgård) - until it is too late. Now Taylor-Johnson is reunited with Robert Eggers, who follows up the vampire film with a werewolf film.
Eggers has written the script for "Werwulf" together with the Icelandic author Sjón, whom he also collaborated with on his Viking film from 2022, "The Northman".
The details of "Werwulf" are sparse but it is expected to have its premiere in cinemas in 2026. The film is expected to be a child-prohibited, gothic horror that takes place in England in the 13th century and where the characters speak a language authentic to the time.
