The European League is the first step for the national team this summer, with the highlight being the European Championship in Gothenburg at the end of August.
On Friday afternoon it was time for the first match against Azerbaijan - and it was a comfortable 3–0 victory (25–19, 25–14, 25–23).
Swedish world star Isabelle Haak dominated with 28 points.
"It feels great. Our hard work during the preseason has really paid off. We got into our flow and found the right rhythm together," says center Gun Hindgren in a press release.
On Saturday, Sweden will face Estonia.
