Tom Strada was one of the victims of “9/11.” His widow, Terry Strada, has been a vocal critic of Saudi Arabia and what she believes to be previous presidents’ inadequate condemnations of Saudi Arabia.
"You are missed more with each passing year. But how can it be that 25 years have passed without us having been given justice for the role Saudi Arabia played in your murder?" she said after the names of the victims were read out on live television.
Strada accused Saudi Arabia of whipping up an anti-American culture in the country. The ceremony was attended by former presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Barack Obama and Joe Biden.
Current President Donald Trump was in attendance at a ceremony at the Pentagon, but Strada asked Vice President JD Vance to deliver a message to Trump:
Tell the Saudis to stop lying. Tell them that if they want to be friends with the United States, they cannot continue to deny all of this - all of the suffering and devastation that we have all been forced to endure.
In his speech at the Pentagon, Trump made the connection between the terrorist attacks and America's contemporary warfare.
We will never, never forget. That is why we fight today.
"We have no choice. There can only be victory," said Donald Trump.
The terrorist network al-Qaeda carried out the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, under the leadership of terrorist leader Osama bin Laden and Saudi hijackers.
