A man in his 90s is suspected of having stabbed two peers to death at a nursing home in western Belgium.
Another person is seriously injured after the incident during the night against Friday, says Koenraad Degroote, mayor of the town of Dentergem to the news agency AFP.
According to the newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws, the suspected perpetrator is a man who four years ago killed his then 87-year-old wife with a hammer. He was then declared to be seriously mentally ill and has since lived at the home under strict security conditions.
