The young woman was found in the Suder Vagnhus cave off the west coast of Gotland. In her stomach was a foetus that, according to researchers, was very well preserved.
The unusual Stone Age find is likely one of the oldest preserved foetuses in the world, according to archaeologist and project manager Alexander Roesen Sjöstrand.
Excavations are now continuing to find out more about the woman's origins and how she was buried.
