82-Year-Old Adventurer Anders Eriksson Voted Listeners' Summer Host

He himself says that he has been chasing those moments when you feel most alive throughout his entire life.

"I'm going to tell you about the adventures it has led to," promises Anders Eriksson in a press release.

The pink buses are a travel company that Anders Eriksson started in the early 1970s, with India as the first destination. Over the years, he has, among other things, had his windows smashed in demonstrations in Iran in 1978, driven down into the Sahara Desert, and gotten stuck in a tunnel in Kashmir.

"Getting to be the Summer Host feels like winning the World Championship in joy of living, I hope my program will be like a pink bus ride straight into your inner self – where the child in you still runs barefoot, curious, and fearless. In a time like ours, we perhaps need that more than ever," says Anders Eriksson.

"The listeners' Summer Host" will be broadcast on the 23rd of July in P1 and in Sveriges Radio Play.
