The woman was reportedly in the process of evacuating her home in British Columbia when she “suddenly” died.

“Police suspect her death is the result of the wildfire,” the Royal Canadian Mounted Police said, according to CBC .

The fire was reported on Friday afternoon. It then grew rapidly, and by the weekend, more than 20,000 people had been ordered to evacuate their homes. By Sunday, it had grown to 136 square kilometers.
