At least 75 people have been killed in Israeli attacks on the Maghazi and Bureij refugee camps in the city of Dayr al-Balah in central Gaza, according to a spokesperson for Al Aqsa hospital, reported by several media outlets.
Israel's army confirms that it has launched "targeted operational activities" in Bureij and eastern Dayr al-Balah. This is justified by the presence of "terrorists and infrastructure above and below ground", according to information from the army which claims to base this on intelligence information.
Last Tuesday, a spokesperson for Gaza's civil defense said that rescue services had found bodies of 360 people, mostly women and children, who were killed in the refugee camp of Jabalia in northern Gaza during the three-week-long Israeli offensive there, writes news agency AP.
