In May, 25,675 new passenger cars were registered, an increase of two percent compared to the same month last year. So far this year, the increase is six percent, according to Mobility Sweden.
Of the new cars, 63 percent were either pure electric cars (36.9 percent) or plug-in hybrids (26.4).
”The share of electric cars is so far this year somewhat weaker than Mobility Sweden's forecast for 2025, while plug-in hybrids are developing stronger than expected,” writes the industry organization in a press release.
