The government is allocating 50 million kronor of Sweden's humanitarian support for Gaza to ensure children's urgent needs ahead of the winter, the government said in a press release.

In December last year, the government decided to earmark SEK 800 million to support humanitarian efforts in Gaza for 2025. Of this, SEK 750 million has already been distributed.

The remaining 50 million kronor will go through the UN children's fund Unicef for emergency protection for families in Gaza, including through the provision of tents and warm clothing.

Parts of the support will also be allocated to things like temporary premises for teaching and leisure activities.
