The project is being developed by the American rap star in collaboration with Vice Studios and Swedish game studio Starbreeze Entertainment. Neither a screenwriter nor a broadcaster or streaming service have been finalised.
"Teaming up with Vice Studios and bringing the 'Payday' world to the screen gives us the chance to build something big, an energetic franchise that moves the heist genre forward," 50 Cent said in a statement seen by Variety.
50 Cent has previously produced crime series such as "Power" and "BMF".
