Police were called to an address at lunchtime on 27 November last year when a woman in her 50s was found badly stabbed outside. She was taken to hospital by ambulance, but her life could not be saved.
The man is also charged with aggravated unlawful threats against a person who tried to stop the acts.
"Several people were at the scene and witnessed the crime. Parts of the incident are also on film. I consider the evidence to be strong," says senior prosecutor Anna Johansson Toresten in a press release.
The trial begins on May 13.
